“Glass to Stone” is composed of 16 translucent glass panels made of 1,750 waste glass bottles, fused into a singular glass sheets and laminated for safety.

The experimental process entailed many broken prototypes before mastering the firing schedule and composition.

Production of 20 panels for the 2024 Diriyah Contemporary Arts Biennial in Riyadh


The project is an effort to divert glass waste streams into valuable materials, through the production of glass panels from waste glass bottles.

Kiln-formed
glass in shades of brown,
beige mirror, back-lit.
Dimensions: 200x150cm
